Frequently asked questions
For your peace of mind, we’ve listed the most commonly asked questions. If you have a query that isn’t provided below, please just get in touch, we will be more than happy to help.
What areas do you cover?
We are based in Codsall, South Staffordshire and service the whole district and immediate surrounding areas including: Wolverhampton, Walsall, Cannock, Telford, Stafford, Shifnal, Cosford, Albrighton, Penkridge, Pattingham, Bridgnorth and Stourbridge. If you are just outside these areas, we are happy to discuss your needs, so please get in touch to see if we can help.
How much do your services cost?
Pricing for carpet cleaning depends very much on several aspects, including the number of rooms, the size of each space, the degree of soiling and the overall length of time the work will take. It is cheaper per room to have more than one room cleaned during the same visit and whole house cleans are taken into consideration on a cost by volume basis. Upholstery (sofas and chairs) are charged by the seat. We pride ourselves on competitive pricing as our team is small, and we do not need to cover the overheads of some larger companies. We are always happy to view the job beforehand to quote you as accurately as possible. This visit is free of charge and you will be under no obligation to accept the quote. Alternatively, we can provide you with an estimate over the phone.
Why do you use a wet method?
The pressurised hot water extraction method is a high-powered process that injects water and cleaning solution into the carpet pile before extracting it back out. Neutraliser and rinse solution is then flushed through to neutralise the cleaning solution, returning the normal PH level. This method works solutions deep into the pile, which cleans more powerfully than conventional carpet cleaners, which only clean the surface of the carpet pile.
How long will my carpets take to dry?
This depends on pile size and composition, ambient temperature and ventilation but they can be walked on (without shoes) within the hour and are usually fully dry after 12 - 24 hours (time of year dependant). If you need your carpet drying in a hurry we have a commercial grade air blower that can help speed up the process, but allowing general ventilation in the rooms cleaned will ensure your carpets dry in the expected timeframe.
Do I need to move any furniture before cleaning?
Prior to our visit, we will discuss the furniture in the rooms with you. We will move lighter furniture (dining chairs, footstools etc) as we work through the room, so you don’t need to move those out of the way beforehand unless you choose to.
We can supply polythene coasters so any furniture moved can be back in place straight away.
Do I need to vacuum the carpets beforehand?
There is no need for you to do this, as the first stage of our multi-stage cleaning process includes thorough vacuuming and brushing out of debris and dried dirt particulars.
How long would it take to clean one room?
This depends on the size of the room and the level of soiling. A general refresh for a lightly soiled carpet in a typical 4m X 4m room would take around 1 - 2 hours. If spot cleaning is required these areas will be worked on before cleaning the whole area and will therefore lengthen the job time.
Are your solutions pet and children safe?
All our cleaning products are non-toxic and eco-friendly, so it is safe for usage in environments with children and pets. The wet cleaning method ensures solutions are fully rinsed out and the PH level neutralised. If you have any concerns due to specific allergies please speak to us beforehand and we can obtain the technical sheets on request.
If my carpet is wool, can it still be cleaned using wet cleaning?
Yes, wool carpets can be wet cleaned. We will always check if the fibre composition of your carpet is natural or synthetic before we start cleaning. This is key to choosing the appropriate solutions and heat settings to protect your carpet.
Are you public liability insured?
We are public liability insured for your peace of mind.
